CULTURES OF THINKING WORKSHOP

There is a growing recognition of how essential classroom culture is for effective learning. This workshop provides teachers with tools to cultivate a thinking culture that fosters deep learning and understanding. Participants will explore and deepen their understanding of:

• Practical strategies educators can use to establish a culture of thinking in their schools and classrooms.

• The types of thinking opportunities that lead to deep understanding of content.

• How to identify evidence of student thinking.

• How to leverage the cultural forces, which exist in every classroom, to enhance a culture of thinking.

• Learning and utilising a variety of thinking routines to \structure, scaffold, and encourage student thinking.
